QR Code Landing Pages

If you’re familiar with SEO (Search Engine Optimization), then you probably know what a landing page is. A landing page is any page on a website where traffic is sent specifically to prompt a certain action or result. Think of a landing page as a putting green, the target where you drive the ball (prospect) to.

You can easily create landing pages that are optimized for smartphone displays using our WYSISYG editor. Although Landing Pages are hosted on our server, you can still utilize them in combination with your own website. For example, you can display your contact information on a landing page with links or phone numbers that can be dialled from the smartphone.

Landing Page Contact Information

Landing Pages are well suited for creating contact information that can be displayed to your smartphone readers. Non hosted QR URLs require the use of VCard encoded QR codesto display contact information.

Landing Page vs. VCard QR Codes

Analytics cannot be pulled from VCard encoded QRs because the data is directly embedded into the code, therefore not requiring the reader app to go online where analytics can be obtained by the server.

VCard Pros

  • Contact information can be saved to the phone
  • Offline viewing is faster

VCard Cons

  • Data is encoded and cannot be changed dynamically
  • Analytics cannot be performed
  • Modules are smaller, more dense and less aesthetic
  • QRs must be printed larger to be readable.
  • Most smartphone readers interpret the data poorly

Mobile Compatibility

Due to the rapid success of smartphones, a large number of web sites have not yet been enhanced to display mobile friendly pages. Fortunately, writing them with the landing page tool makes it a snap.
